Review and check own work as well as that of others

Create drawings and designs in accordance with governing codes

Optimize designs to meet project requirements

Liaise with clients regarding specific detail requirements

Create structural details for steel and concrete connections/joints

Report directly to the U.S.-based project design lead

Job RequirementsProficient in ETABS, Bentley Suite (STAAD.Pro, etc.), SAP, RAM Structural SystemKnowledgeable in ASCE, AISC, ASTM standards

Proficient in AutoCAD and CAD-based design

Skilled in MathCADExperience in residential and commercial design, especially retail projects

Knowledge in plumbing design, pipe sizing, and pipe friction calculations

Capable of troubleshooting design flaws and developing structural solutions

Willing to research building code requirements based on project location

Open to working full-time night shifts

Ability to assess effort level and product quality via brief communication

Good communication skills with project managers and meeting deadlines
