Position Summary

Oversee and coordinate logistics support and fleet operations for construction sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and personnel. Manage vehicle and heavy-equipment pools, with a focus on operational readiness, cost control, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities1. Fleet & Equipment Management

  • Schedule and dispatch vehicles, heavy equipment, and drivers/operators to construction sites according to project timelines.
  • Perform and oversee daily inspections (e.g., DVIRs), monitor odometer and GPS logs, and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for both light vehicles and heavy-duty construction machinery.

2. Fuel & Cost Control

  • Manage fuel issuance via cards or vouchers; track consumption, detect anomalies, and create cost-efficiency plans.
  • Prepare monthly fuel and maintenance expense reports for project accounting and route optimizations.

3. Spare Parts & Inventory

  • Monitor spare parts inventory—ensure timely restocking and generate purchase requisitions.
  • Liaise with procurement on sourcing parts and services to support continuous fleet operations.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain updated fleet records: registrations, insurance, licenses, and permits.
  • Complete incident/accident documentation, file SRs as needed, and uphold safety protocols.
  • Ensure procedures conform to ISO or company standards (e.g., DVIR, Geotab monitoring).

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Generate weekly/monthly KPI and usage reports (fuel, maintenance, downtime) to support continuous improvement.
  • Analyze fleet performance and propose optimization plans or equipment replacements/disposals.

6. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise and coordinate motorpool staff (drivers, mechanics, admin); conduct performance appraisals and on‑the‑job coaching.
  • Work closely with Project Engineers, Warehouse, and Operations to align vehicle and logistics support to construction demands.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Automotive Technology, or equivalent.
  • 3–7 years' experience in fleet or motorpool management within construction, heavy equipment, or infrastructure industries.
  • Hands-on knowledge of light vehicles and heavy construction equipment (e.g., cranes, dump trucks).
  • Valid Philippine Driver's License; professional driving and mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • Proficiency with fleet management tools (e.g., Geotab), MS Office, and ERP systems (SAP, for example).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Committed to safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement.
