Engineering Contract Manager

Main Role:

To lead the engineering team and manage project contracts to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Engineering:

  • Supervise design and technical work for projects.
  • Check and approve engineering plans and drawings.
  • Ensure designs follow safety and building standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments to maintain project schedules.

Contract Management:

  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Handle contract changes, extensions, and claims.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms by all parties.

Project Support:

  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates.
  • Assist in project budgeting and cost control.
  • Support resolution of project issues or delays.

Leadership:

  • Lead and guide engineers and contract staff.
  • Coordinate with project teams for smooth execution.

Job Qualifications (JQ)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or any relevant Engineering field.
  • A Master's degree or training in construction or contract management is an advantage.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Licensed Engineer (PRC or equivalent).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years in engineering or construction.
  • At least 5 years of experience in contract management and team leadership.

Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge in engineering and construction.
  • Proficient in reviewing and managing contracts.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
