Project Management Officer

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Project Manager, leading teams in the financial services, banking, or insurance sector.
  • Strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Proven background in managing PMO functions for large or enterprise-scale programs.
  • Solid experience in project governance, reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Practical experience with multiple project management frameworks (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Iterative Waterfall).
  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling complex or enterprise-level application projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Governance

  • Develop and maintain standardized project governance frameworks and processes.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all workstreams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

2. Program Support

  • Provide centralized tools, templates, and best practices to project teams.
  • Facilitate collaboration and support issue escalation and resolution.
  • Track milestones, proactively identify risks, and drive mitigation efforts.

3. Communication & Reporting

  • Prepare clear and timely reports on project status, risks, issues, and milestones.
  • Keep stakeholders updated and aligned on program developments.

4. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to communicate progress.
  • Address concerns, resolve conflicts, and build stakeholder trust.

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze program performance to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to increase delivery efficiency.
  • Lead training initiatives to strengthen project management capability.
