JOB SPECIFICATIONS

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective internal controls while supervising a team of accountants or clerks. This role also requires the ability to conduct fieldwork and store visits as needed to support audits, verify transactions, and ensure alignment with company policies.

Supervision & Management:

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accountants.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Inventory Accounting:

  • Manage inventory accounting processes, including cost accounting and valuation.
  • Analyse inventory transactions and adjustments to ensure proper recording and reporting.
  • Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts, and reconcile variances.

Store Analysis:

  • Analyse sales, margins, and inventory levels for retail stores.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve store performance.
  • Collaborate with store managers and operations teams to optimize inventory management and reduce costs.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and report on variances.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for strategic planning initiatives.

Internal Controls & Process Improvement:

  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting and inventory management.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php23, Php25,000.00 per month
