Location: Philippines

Experience Level: Mid-Level (4-6 years)

About the Role

We are seeking a Full Stack Python Application Engineer with 3-7 years of professional experience, primarily in Python development, to join our growing engineering team. This role involves building and maintaining scalable applications, integrating APIs, and collaborating with stakeholders in a client-facing environment.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the stack—backend services, APis, databases, and cloud deployment—while ensuring clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APls to support business workflows and external system integrations.
  • Develop and optimize web applications using Flask (or similar Python frameworks).
  • Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
  • Deploy and maintain applications on AWS services (Fargate, S3, etc.), ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Implement CI/CD workflows using GitHub, including automated testing, code review practices, and deployment pipelines.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and clients, ensuring requirements are translated into technical solutions effectively.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and provide recommendations for system design and best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing.

Mandatory Skills

  • Python: 3-7 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining production applications.
  • Business English proficiency (spoken and written) sufficient for direct client communication.

Strongly Preferred Skills

  • Flask or similar Python web framework.
  • PostgreSQL database management.
  • REST API design and integration.
  • AWS (Fargate, S3, etc.): at least 1-2 years of cloud deployment and management experience.
  • GitHub: experience with CI/CD pipelines and code review workflows.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with Al-assisted development tools (OpenAl Codex, Cursor, or similar).
  • Broader cloud experience (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch).
  • Frontend skills (React, Vue, or similar) for full stack contributions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-7 years of professional experience in software development with Python as the core language.
  • 1-2 years working with AWS services in a production environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable, and scalable applications.
