Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise installation and welding of steel structures (tunnels' steel lining, aerial penstocks, gates, valves – see sizing in the table below).
  • Review welding procedures, inspection plans, and NDT reports.
  • Conduct or oversee hydrostatic testing and pressure testing.
  • Provide technical support during commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare inspection reports and ensure compliance with standards.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree with 10+ years in hydraulic steel structures.
  • Experience in penstocks, gates, valves, welding inspection, NDT, hydrostatic testing.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC standards (American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME, American Welding Society AWS, European Norms EN).
  • Previous Owner's Engineer or EPC supervision experience preferred.
