  • Develop and maintain the organization's BCP and DR frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Risk Assessments (RA) to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and dependencies.
  • Define Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for critical business processes and IT systems.
  • Design and document comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans for various scenarios.
  • Lead the implementation of BCP/DR strategies and plans across the organization.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and departmental representatives to ensure plans are integrated into daily operations.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and third-party service providers related to disaster recovery.
  • Ensure all BCP/DR documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and accurate.
  • Coordinate and lead regular BCP and DR testing exercises, including tabletop exercises, simulations, and technical failover tests.
  • Analyze test results to identify gaps and areas for improvement, and develop remediation plans.
  • Design and deliver training and awareness programs for employees at all levels to enhance preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Serve as a key point of contact and leader during a crisis or disruptive event.
  • Coordinate and manage the response and recovery efforts, ensuring effective communication and timely activation of plans.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to capture lessons learned and continuously improve BCP/DR processes.
  • Ensure the BCP/DR program adheres to relevant industry standards
  • Prepare and present reports on the status of the BCP/DR program to senior management and executive leadership.
  • Monitor emerging trends and technologies in business continuity and disaster recovery to make recommendations for enhancements.
  • Proven experience in a BCP, DR, or similar business resilience role, with experience in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with business continuity management software and tools.

Good-to-Have

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International or a BCI certification
