Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple appliance and furniture retail store locations within a designated territory. The Area Manager will be responsible for leading store teams, driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on operational management.

Key Responsibilities:Operations & Performance Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of [number] retail store locations within the assigned area.
  • Ensure each store meets or exceeds sales targets, profit margins, and operational KPIs.
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor adherence to company standards in visual merchandising, cleanliness, stock levels, and customer service.
  • Implement policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency and minimize shrinkage.

Sales Leadership

  • Analyze sales trends and develop action plans to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Support store managers in executing promotions, marketing campaigns, and new product launches.
  • Motivate teams to upsell and cross-sell appliance and furniture products effectively.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage store managers and key staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, set development goals, and provide coaching.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture that aligns with company values.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained across all locations.
  • Address and resolve escalated customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Inventory & Visual Merchandising

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure proper stock.
  • Ensure stores follow visual merchandising guidelines and seasonal layouts.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure all stores comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales, staffing, and operational issues to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of multi-store management experience, preferably in the appliance, furniture, or consumer electronics retail industry.
  • Proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales targets and operational goals.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned area.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and retail POS systems.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of home appliances, furniture products, and related trends.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage customer escalations effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent travel between store locations.
  • May require standing for extended periods during store visits.
  • Occasionally lifting merchandise or participating in store set-ups.
