Job Overview

The role of Senior Controller involves overseeing the end-to-end financial management cycle, encompassing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close processes. This position ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, as well as compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling in support of business objectives.
  • Oversee month-end close processes to guarantee timely and precise financial reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and present management reports highlighting key business drivers, trends, and variances.
  • Maintain and enhance financial models to facilitate strategic decision-making and scenario planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with operational goals.
  • Evaluate internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements for adherence.
  • Implement process improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
  • Develop leadership skills by mentoring a remote finance team and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with preferred certifications like CPA or CMA.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in controllership, financial planning & analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear insights.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences.
