Lead Retail Operations

Expertise in order operations is sought after to spearhead our retail operation. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, be an automation expert, and have extensive knowledge of ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the team responsible for executing day-to-day activities and managing the order-to-cash cycle from receipt through delivery, ensuring accurate invoicing and payment collection.

  • Provide pre-order customer support, including systemic setup and writing SOPs tailored to customers' needs.

  • Design and implement sustainable processes and systems focusing on efficiency and scalability as we onboard with new commercial customers.

  • Develop and manage a collection of order operations SOPs specific to different sales channels and customers.

  • Maintain high data integrity in all order operations systems associated with order entry, fulfillment, management, and invoicing (QBO).

  • Lead monthly reconciliation from the Order Operations perspective and provide detailed reporting to Accounting showing accurate orders entered in all systems.

  • Create workflows using Zapier, Make, N8N, Parabola, etc., to minimize repetitive tasks handled by the team daily.

Requirements

  • Ability to work full-time US-based hours.

  • Automation Expert - Familiarity with Zapier, Make, N8N, and expertise in connecting systems to smooth out manual processes.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a customer-facing role.

  • Elite organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Extremely process-oriented with ability to identify and define issues, create scalable processes, and implement them with team members.

  • Order Processing experience, including EDI, B2B, and manual orders. Strong ERP system experience.

  • Experience managing direct reports.

  • At least 2 years' experience working in US food & beverage order operations with distributors like UNFI & Kehe and retailers like Target.

  • Able to thrive in a fully remote work environment under minimal supervision.

  • Customer-focused with unrelenting desire to provide world-class customer service while keeping the company's best interest in mind.

  • Willingness to roll up sleeves, figure things out, and get things done even when not in their wheelhouse.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Strong understanding of Order Operations finance.

  • Experience working in a high growth, startup environment.

  • Led a team through an ERP implementation.

  • Good to advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills with excellent quantitative and qualitative analytic skills.
