Reliability Engineer Lead

This is a highly sought-after role for those who excel at ensuring production environment health, performance, and scalability. Your mission will be to apply software engineering principles to solve operational problems, automate processes, and exceed customer reliability expectations.

You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers across different time zones to develop and maintain our core infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. You'll evolve CI/CD pipelines to ensure safe, rapid, and reliable releases, while identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, single points of failure, and scalability limits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implement: Develop our core infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Evaluate & Enhance: Identify areas for improvement in our CI/CD pipelines, automation systems, and monitoring tools.
  • Lead Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotation, acting as a key player in incident response and resolution. Lead blameless post-mortems to identify root causes and implement preventative measures.
  • Foster Collaboration: Work closely with software engineering teams to foster a culture of reliability.
  • Ensure Security: Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud infrastructure, ensuring our platform is robust and compliant.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with major cloud providers like AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM).
  • Strong proficiency with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes or ECS.
  • Proven ability to build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with modern monitoring and logging tools.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language for automation and tooling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the payments or FinTech industry.
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies.
  • Experience with database administration.
