Job Description:

UNICEF is working in partnership with the European Commission and the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of Slovakia to strengthen the capacity of education authorities and stakeholders at all levels to effectively implement desegregation of Roma children in education.

The project aims to provide Roma children with high quality education, promoting inclusion and respect for diversity and multiculturalism. This requires the development of resources (toolkit, methodology, action plans) and review, analysis and capacity building activities.

As an expert consultant, you will play a vital role in developing a capacity building toolkit and providing technical expertise to project activities.

  • Review of good practices: Identify 3-5 whole-school approaches, monitoring, policy development, and collaboration with the community and parents.
  • Capacity building: Develop a toolkit and deliver three trainer sessions (national and regional representatives).
  • Technical expertise: Revise the research plan, review the final report with recommendations, and support presentation of project deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

You will need expertise in education, inclusive education, or inclusion of vulnerable groups, as well as experience in conducting or managing research projects.

A strong background in social sciences, education policy, or a related field is essential for this role.
