Senior Content Strategist and Video Editor

They will create compelling content and post consistently across all platforms, ensuring a business-savvy mindset informs every design and editing choice.

The candidate will help position our brand as a leading entity within the entertainment industry, ensuring our tone is authentic and resonates deeply with filmmakers, directors, producers, screenwriters, actors, and other industry professionals.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in social media management, a genuine passion for film and television, and a deep understanding of the language and realities of being a filmmaker, director, producer, screenwriter, or actor.

They will possess a strong business-savvy mind, be highly analytical, and capable of thinking critically about design and editing choices in terms of their impact on business goals and conversion funnels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Strategy & Funnel Optimization: Manage and strategically grow all of our social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube), viewing each platform as a crucial business funnel.
• Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies that convert social media audience engagement into active participation within our online community, leading to product and service adoption.

• Video Editing & Content Creation:
  • Lead the editing of video content, especially for our YouTube channel, ensuring high production quality and strategic alignment.
  • Create compelling content and post consistently across all platforms, ensuring a business-savvy mindset informs every design and editing choice.

• Industry & Audience Engagement:
  • Help position our brand as a leading entity within the entertainment industry, ensuring our tone is authentic and resonates deeply with creatives.
  • Stay perpetually informed about popular trends and current happenings in the entertainment industry, leveraging this passion to create impactful content.

• Analytics & Ownership:
  • Take full ownership of social media analytics, providing regular reports and actionable insights on performance and ROI.
  • Continuously optimize content based on data, demonstrating pride in your work and a drive for continuous improvement.

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in social media management, with a clear focus on driving business objectives, ideally within the entertainment industry.
• Industry Passion & Understanding: A genuine, demonstrated passion for film and television, coupled with an understanding of the language and realities of being a filmmaker, director, producer, screenwriter, or actor.
• Business Acumen & Analytical Mindset: You possess a strong business-savvy mind and are highly analytical, capable of thinking critically about design and editing choices in terms of their impact on business goals and conversion funnels.
• Video Editing Expertise: Strong video editing skills (familiar with tools like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.) with a portfolio to match.
• Self-Starter & Proactive: Proven ability to work independently and proactively manage a content calendar and other responsibilities without requiring constant direction.
• Social Media Expertise: Experience with social media analytics and optimization.
