Utility Sector Manager

As a Utility Sector Manager, you'll oversee a team of Utility Engineers, ensuring high-quality inspections, accurate data, and process improvements within the electric utility sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Utility Engineers, prioritizing quality and precision in every task.
  • Oversee the cataloging of utility assets, identifying equipment issues or potential hazards that impact project goals.
  • Maintain quality control of work packages and compliance with project standards, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior engineers, empowering them to grow professionally.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to ensure project deliverables are met, aligning with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the electric utility field (preferred).
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and technical abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities.
  • A working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and industry engineering practices (nice-to-have).
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Tools/Technical Environment:

  • GIS software for utility asset mapping and analysis.
  • Data management tools for cataloging and reporting.
  • Communication platforms for collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Industry-standard reference materials, including NESC and engineering guidelines.
