Financial accounting plays a pivotal role in the financial success of an organization. It involves preparing and examining financial records, such as balance sheets and income statements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience with financial software like SAP or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Completing daily reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Reconciling control accounts and investigating any discrepancies
  • Maintaining general ledger accounts and performing month-end/year-end closing procedures
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register for multiple entities
  • Collaborating with the finance team to ensure timely completion of month-end close activities
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and contributing to process improvements around reconciliation practices
  • Supporting internal and external audit requests related to reconciliations and ledger balances
  • Participating in system upgrades or transitions that impact reconciliation processes
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a global company
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills in English
