The accounting specialist will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, supporting compliance, and providing insights that help leadership make better decisions.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and record journal entries and general ledger transactions accurately.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts efficiently.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as required.
- Help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation timely.
- Support internal and external audits thoroughly.
- Perform variance analysis and explain key fluctuations effectively.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies strictly.
- Maintain well-organized and accurate financial records diligently.
- 1 to 3 years of accounting experience (internships welcome).
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and accurate with numbers.
- Understanding of GAAP and accounting workflows.
- Proficient in Excel (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas).
- Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar software.
- Professional English communication (written and verbal).
- Ability to manage time, tasks, and deadlines in a remote setup.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to improve systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, SharePoint, and related tools.
- Willingness to handle both routine and evolving responsibilities.
- Willingness to work in a US time zone schedule.
