Senior Financial Executive Role

This position involves overseeing the overall financial operations and compliance of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Performance Management: Manage payroll, superannuation, and ensure timely settlement of liabilities. Oversee bill approvals and tax obligations.
  • Accounts Receivable and Invoicing: Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on payments, and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Expense Tracking and Financial Oversight: Track spending, adhere to budgets, investigate transactions, and oversee cash flow and liabilities.
  • Bookkeeping Support and Coordination: Provide transaction data to bookkeepers, ensure account reconciliation, and respond to financial inquiries.
  • Financial Reporting and Communication: Prepare financial reports for management, assist auditors, and provide financial insights for decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualification; post-graduate qualifications are highly regarded.
  • 5+ years in a senior financial role, preferably in non-profit or community organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian financial regulations, ASIC, and ACNC frameworks.
  • Experience in financial planning, analysis, reporting, and policy development.
  • Proficiency in Xero, MS Excel/Google Sheets, and ideally Salesforce.
  • Leadership skills, results-driven, and team-building abilities.
  • High ethics and integrity, committed to the organization's mission.
  • Reliable, accountable, and capable of meeting deadlines in remote work settings.
