Job Title:
Intermediate Group Insurance Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze group characteristics, benefits, and plan designs to determine premium pricing and retention strategies.
  • Deliver clear and accurate quotes to account executives based on rating information, risk assessments, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Conduct constructive negotiations with clients to secure new business opportunities and retain existing ones.
  • Evaluate and act on risk propositions to minimize exposure and maximize returns.
  • Accurately price new and existing business opportunities based on data analysis and market trends.
  • Provide value-added underwriting and benefit recommendations to maximize clients' group benefit spend.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree holder preferably in applied mathematics and statistics or related field.
  • CEBS, GBA certification is encouraged and recommended.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in group underwriting or a related field.
  • Understanding of the Group Insurance market, products, and services.
  • Excellent comprehension, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make well-balanced decisions that take effective risk management, financial discipline, and customer needs into account.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills with proficiency in Excel (data manipulation such as pivot tables) and Word.
