The role of the Product Manager is a critical position in the development and growth of insurance products.
Key responsibilities include ensuring the approval of new insurance products by preparing documentation together with providers, submitting documents to relevant approving bodies, and presenting business opportunities to these bodies.
- Presents and articulates to approving bodies the business opportunity of new products
Product managers must identify and manage various aspects related to product roadmap, distribution, marketing materials development, campaign establishment, and customer pipeline generation.
- Distribution channels for reaching new and existing customers
- Marketing materials development with providers and internal stakeholders like Marketing, Legal, and Compliance
- Campaigns to establish a customer pipeline prior to launching new products
Additionally, product managers pursue cross-selling and general insurance products within the group ecosystem, conduct regular cadence meetings with providers, stay up-to-date with industry developments and changing regulatory landscapes, and partner with providers to drive seller engagement through trainings and roadshows.
- Graduate degree in Business, Management, Finance, Marketing, or related disciplines
- At least 5 years of General Insurance product and distribution knowledge and experience
