Job Description

The Sales Development Representative is a crucial role that drives growth by identifying and engaging potential customers, prospects, and partners. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, build rapport, and provide value through expert advice and solutions.

  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, social media, networking, and research.
  • Prospecting: Conduct thorough research on target businesses, industries, challenges, and pain points to craft compelling messaging that resonates with prospects.
  • Qualification: Assess potential leads by initiating conversations to understand their needs, challenges, and decision-making processes, determining if they align with the criteria for becoming qualified opportunities for the sales team.
  • Appointment Setting: Arrange and coordinate meetings between prospects and sales executives, manage schedules, send invitations, and ensure both parties have the necessary information for productive discussions.
  • Collaboration: Maintain consistent engagement with prospects by providing relevant information, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns, following up on previous interactions to nurture relationships and ensure a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and track all lead interactions in CRM systems, keeping contact details updated, logging conversation notes, and maintaining accurate data for reporting and analysis.
  • Partner closely with the sales team by providing well-qualified leads and valuable insights, sharing feedback on lead quality, contributing to account strategies, and suggesting improvements to the lead qualification process.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in sales (hunting via outbound prospecting)
  • B2B technology industry experience (SaaS sales)
  • Strong familiarity with Salesforce, Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, Outreach, and Mixmax
  • Experience in start-up environments
  • Excellent conversational skills and ability to engage prospects and build rapport
