Job Title: Draftsman (SolidWorks)


As a skilled Draftsman, you will play a key role in creating detailed 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks 2024. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing precise technical drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Ensuring company drawings are prepared, checked, and filed according to established procedures and instructions.
  • Preparing project drawings for fabrication including DXF profiles following company procedures and drafting standards.
  • Creating product installation and operation manuals.
  • Responsible for ensuring drawings are filed correctly, including check prints, superseded and masters.
  • Effectively implementing feedback from the manager via model and drawing updates, respecting appropriate part numbers and dealing with modifications and revisions changes.
  • Managing and completing projects in a timely manner.
  • Analyzing engineering specifications, sketches, and models to create accurate mechanical designs.
  • Collaborating with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure drawings align with project goals.
  • Ensuring all mechanical designs comply with relevant industry standards and company policies.
  • Maintaining and organizing design files and project documentation for future reference as per company procedures.
  • Assisting in preparing project specifications, material lists, and other technical documentation.
  • Participating in design review meetings and providing feedback on potential improvements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical or structural design.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, with experience in designing and drafting.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing methods.
