About the Role:

As a Senior Utility Engineer, you will lead detailed inspections of overhead utility infrastructure, ensuring data integrity and contributing to process improvements within the electric utility sector. You will oversee QA/QC processes, perform advanced data analysis, and provide technical leadership to support project success.

  • Lead detailed inspections of overhead utility infrastructure, identifying faults and hazards.
  • Perform advanced data analysis, ensuring high standards of accuracy and data quality.
  • Oversee QA/QC processes for work packages and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide feedback and contribute to process improvements.
  • Work closely with internal teams to align data accuracy with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with utility companies to ensure project goals and deliverables are met.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development.

Key Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the electric utility field (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility construction standards, and best industry engineering practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector.

Tools and Technical Environment:

  • GIS software for utility asset mapping and analysis.
  • Data management tools for cataloging and reporting.
  • Communication platforms for collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Industry-standard reference materials, including NESC and engineering guidelines.
