Qualifications:

  • Over 3 years of experience in temporary and permanent power delivery in the telecommunications industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of AC power systems, electrical codes, and standards relevant to the telecom industry.
  • Familiarity with telecom equipment, including base stations, antennas, and network components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software tools for electrical design and simulation.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PE license) will be a plus.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and practices in electrical engineering.
  • Able to independently manage end-to-end delivery of permanent power, including relevant government permits.
  • Good relationship with the power utility, knew the internal processes.
  • Familiar with quality and acceptance management in the telecommunications industry.
  • Capable of independently managing subcontractors to achieve established target.
  • Background in electrical engineering, with SAQ experience preferred.
  • Willing to travel for work.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for telecom infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive electrical plans for AC and telecom components, including power distribution, grounding, and backup systems.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess electrical requirements and propose efficient solutions for telecom installations and upgrades.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate AC equipment, such as generators and UPS systems, to support reliable and uninterrupted power supply to telecom facilities.
  • Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems in telecom sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance of telecom equipment.
  • Conduct periodic inspections and audits to assess the condition of electrical infrastructure, identifying areas for improvement or upgrades.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulations related to AC and electrical systems in the telecom sector.
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors to source quality electrical components and equipment, negotiating contracts and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including electrical schematics, technical reports, and project records.
