Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring and deploying enterprise-grade network solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies, as well as advanced routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.

This is a part-time role with the potential to transition to full-time if it works out well.

The Network Engineer will work Monday to Friday from 8 AM - 12 PM EST (night shift).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deployment of network solutions
  • Implementation of advanced routing protocols
  • Network assessments and health checks
  • Collaboration with clients and internal teams
  • Troubleshooting complex network issues
  • Documentation of network configurations
  • Leadership in network migrations and upgrades
  • Maintenance of network security best practices
  • Post-deployment support and knowledge transfer
  • Staying current with emerging technologies
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering or consulting roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced routing protocols
  • Solid understanding of VLANs, STP, VRFs, NAT and VPNs
  • Experience with firewall policy creation and threat prevention
  • Familiarity with high availability concepts
  • Strong problem-solving, documentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent
  • Fortinet NSE4/FCP or higher certification
  • Experience with SD-WAN and cloud networking
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service delivery frameworks
