Senior Mortgage Settlements Officer

This is a senior role in the mortgage settlements team, focused on managing settlement pipelines and ensuring smooth transactions.

  • We are seeking an experienced professional with strong customer service skills to join our team as a senior mortgage settlements officer.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in a similar settlement role, with a strong understanding of settlement and mortgage lodgment processes.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing settlement pipelines and associated follow-up activities;
  • Preparing loan offer and mortgage documentation;
  • Ensuring outstanding supporting documentation is received before settlement;
  • Liaising with banks and solicitors to facilitate the settlement process;
  • Booking and arranging settlements electronically or otherwise required;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with settlement agents to facilitate physical settlements;
  • Preparing settlement figures and daily funding requirements;
  • Providing exceptional customer experience to all parties involved;
  • Cross-training in all settlement functions.

Job Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 4 years of experience in a similar settlement role;
  • Strong customer service background;
  • Understanding of settlement and mortgage lodgment processes;
  • Experience meeting strict SLA and settlement deadlines;
  • Knowledge of PEXA platform.
