Accounting Assistant

The role involves supporting the accounting team by completing various tasks including bookkeeping, clerical and accounting duties. The assistant will be responsible for ensuring all financial reports are filed on time and that deadlines are met to ensure smooth running of financial processes.

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to execute accounting tasks successfully
  • Prepare financial documents such as bills, invoices, purchase orders, payables, receivables under the direction or assignment of the accounting specialist
  • Encode sales documents in MIA software and generate corresponding daily reports
  • Prepare DR and SI for sales
  • Inform the CFO when inventory needs replenishment
  • Encode transactions in quickbooks when necessary
  • Submit reports as assigned by the accounting specialist
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned from time to time

Key Qualifications:

  • Must have taken at least 6 units of Accounting
  • Understands bookkeeping entries
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Detailed and organized person is required to handle accounts systematically
  • Proficiency in Excel is required to navigate reports
  • Knowledge of tax and financial reporting laws is a plus
  • Mathematical skills to double-check own calculations to prevent errors
  • Time management skills to ensure reports are submitted on time
