Job Overview

The Accounting Officer is responsible for assisting in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting activities to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret financial data to identify trends and prepare actionable reports for informed decision-making.
  • Participate in strategic planning and forecasting activities to provide timely and accurate financial information.
  • Maintain and update accounts records, including journals and ledgers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collect and process employee timesheets and work hours for efficient resource allocation.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees to enhance organizational performance.
  • Use quality monitoring systems to track team and individual performance metrics.
  • Enter new employee data into the company database for streamlined record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to collect data for performance management and improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to regulatory compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Communicate compensation, benefits, and deductions information to employees effectively.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • 6-12 months of accounting experience, preferably as a Payroll Accountant.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Manual bookkeeping skills, including maintaining non-digital records.
  • Experience processing employee salaries and familiarity with Labor Laws.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information securely.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to drive success.
  • Creative writing proficiency and strong problem-solving abilities.
