Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior & Lead Power Systems Engineer to join our Manila-based design team. The ideal candidate will contribute and coordinate design on mineral processing-related Electrical Projects, ranging from detail design and technical reports to full-blown studies on remote mining plant power systems design and upgrade with a focus on renewable energy.

This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a highly skilled engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct power system analysis for clients
  • Design power systems for the mining and power generation industries
  • Evaluate and prepare tenders
  • Utilize power systems modeling packages such as DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETAP
Requirements:
  • Analysis and design of HV power systems including design of powerlines and substations
  • Network analysis and performance standard studies experience
  • Solid electrical engineering experience with knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and controls applications
  • Experience working on both greenfields and brownfields projects
  • Degree-level electrical engineering qualifications with specialized power engineering qualifications well regarded
  • Ability to self-manage while working in various team/project delivery scenarios
  • Ability to travel with project requirements
Work Environment:

Manila-based with potential input on studies/reports for Toronto and African offices, and coordination from the Perth office as needed.

Candidates should have solid power systems experience on complex high-value resource & energy projects with an understanding of Australian-based projects and offshore remote mining plant construction and operations.
