Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Payroll Lead (Assistant Vice President), PAYROLL & PEOPLE ADMIN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and working closely with Payroll Vendor to ensure timely and accurate processing of Payroll (in line with agreed Service Level Agreements and internal performance measures).
- Partner with Payroll Vendor to ensure Payroll deliverables are compliant (ensure compliance with local tax laws, company policies and procedures); accurate and on time.
- Liaise with external parties such as Payroll and Tax vendors to meet tax reporting requirements, statutory changes etc.
- Be the main point of contact for day-to-day payroll operations, employee payroll-related issues; escalations as well as issues relating to local authorities.
- Monitoring and managing issues, escalating as necessary ensuring timely and accurate communications are being delivered to the stakeholders.
- Responsible for maintaining an effective customer service focus to resolve queries from employees, other HR work streams, Finance, Business as well as local authority, payroll and tax vendors.
- Work closely with Finance and HR teams on any payroll related reporting i.e., GL posting; GL reconciliations; government surveys/questionnaires.
- Leading a Payroll team and provide regular coaching if required.
Requirements:
- Extensive Payroll and HR related background.
- Experience of Payroll in a banking environment is strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of regulations and statutory requirements related to salaries, taxes, government benefits and other payroll related matters required.
- Experience of working with outsourced Payroll and Tax vendors.
- Bachelor Degree in HR or Finance discipline highly preferred.
- Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
