Job Description
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Payroll Operations department within Chevron's Finance Shared Services function. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for administering Payroll Programs for Chevron entities, processing weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll, and resolving payroll-related issues with little or no guidance. Your duties will also include tracking, analyzing, and processing adjustments to correct out-of-balance claim situations, monitoring third-party inbound files for drop outs and/or data problems, and taking corrective action if necessary. In addition, you will work closely with Field Reps (Time Administrators, HR representatives, etc.) to understand/resolve payroll-related business process issues and assist Payroll Representatives and Payroll Specialists to interpret company policy, FLSA or state labor law regulations, union contract stipulations, etc. If you are a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for payroll operations, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity
