Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Planner Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our advisory team, you will play a crucial role in assisting advisors in preparing and implementing financial plans for clients.

Your primary responsibility will be to become an expert on insurance products and advice preparation, requiring strong comprehension, logical reasoning, and analytical skills.

You must possess impeccable English language communication skills and be professional in your approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist advisors in creating comprehensive financial plans for clients.
  • Conduct research on insurance products, financial concepts, superannuation, and tax strategies to provide informed advice.
  • Prepare and analyze financial needs analysis reports to identify investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with advisors to identify suitable investment strategies for clients.
  • Attend client meetings to present and review financial plans.
  • Work with clients to gather necessary information and documents for the planning process.
  • Understand and interpret legal documents related to insurance products to ensure compliance.
  • Manage client information in our database to maintain accurate records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paraplanner or similar role in the insurance industry.
  • Accounting experience is advantageous.
  • Strong numerical and logical reasoning skills, along with good math skills and comfort working with numbers.
  • Familiarity with legal documents related to insurance products.
  • A desire to become an expert in both insurance products and advice preparation.
  • An excellent command of the English language.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
