About the Role

  • This is an administrative position handling financial records of clients.
  • You will process payments, invoices, income, and receipts and enter data into accounting software or databases then file hard copies.
  • Prepare financial statements showing business income and expenditure.
  • Maintain payroll information for Clients by collating, calculating, and updating payroll records.
  • Generate reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave, and non-taxable wages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping:
  • Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts and enter data into accounting software or databases then file hard copies.
  • Prepare financial statements showing business income and expenditure.
  • Regular Bank Reconciliation.
  • Complete Monthly and Quarterly BAS returns.
  • Verify the accuracy of business accounts and alert the Accountant of errors.
  • Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies.
  • Develop monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit, and loss and balance sheets.
  • Help the Accountant with administrative duties and prepare yearly accounts.
  • Payroll:
  • Maintain payroll information for Clients by collating, calculating, and updating payroll records.
  • Generate reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave, and non-taxable wages.
  • Calculate payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculate employer's payments for social security, unemployment, and worker's compensation.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll queries.
  • Maintain all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
