Job Summary
Satellite Office is seeking an experienced Financial Operations Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and payroll, with experience working with cloud-based accounting software.
About the Role
- This is an administrative position handling financial records of clients.
- You will process payments, invoices, income, and receipts and enter data into accounting software or databases then file hard copies.
- Prepare financial statements showing business income and expenditure.
- Maintain payroll information for Clients by collating, calculating, and updating payroll records.
- Generate reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave, and non-taxable wages.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping:
- Process payments, invoices, income, and receipts and enter data into accounting software or databases then file hard copies.
- Prepare financial statements showing business income and expenditure.
- Regular Bank Reconciliation.
- Complete Monthly and Quarterly BAS returns.
- Verify the accuracy of business accounts and alert the Accountant of errors.
- Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies.
- Develop monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit, and loss and balance sheets.
- Help the Accountant with administrative duties and prepare yearly accounts.
- Payroll:
- Maintain payroll information for Clients by collating, calculating, and updating payroll records.
- Generate reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave, and non-taxable wages.
- Calculate payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculate employer's payments for social security, unemployment, and worker's compensation.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer any employee payroll queries.
- Maintain all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures.
