Key Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Payroll Processing: Manage the complete payroll cycle for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian payroll legislation.
  2. Employee Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records while safeguarding the confidentiality of payroll data.
  3. XERO Utilization: Utilize your expertise in XERO to facilitate efficient payroll processing and generate reports.
  4. Time & Attendance Management: Oversee time and attendance records using Humanforce or similar rostering systems, ensuring all hours worked are accurately tracked.
  5. Outstanding Communication: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, entitlements, and awards with a friendly and customer-focused approach, fostering trust and clarity.
  6. Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling payroll accounts and prepare informative reports for management to support decision-making.
  7. Stay Updated: Keep informed about changes in payroll legislation and industry standards relevant to early education, ensuring compliance in our processes.
  8. Collaborative Spirit: Collaborate with HR and finance teams on various payroll-related projects, contributing to our collective success.

Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of experience in Australian payroll processing.
  2. 2+ years in an award-based industry, preferably within early childhood education.
  3. Proficiency in XERO and experience with rostering/time and attendance systems (e.g., Humanforce).
  4. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  6. Ability to work autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
