Estimator Job Overview

This position is a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator to join our organization and play a key role in the success of our projects.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong skills in takeoffs, costing, and estimating using Planswift or Bluebeam software.
About the Role

The Estimator will be responsible for accurately performing takeoffs and costing for projects involving electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans. They will work closely with the project team to verify and refine estimates.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and can efficiently translate drawings into precise estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform takeoffs and cost estimates using Planswift or Bluebeam software
  • Review and interpret architectural and electrical drawings, including reflected ceiling plans
  • Identify and quantify lighting fixtures and controls from project documents
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Collaborate with the project team to verify and refine estimates
Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Planswift or Bluebeam (must-have)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Background in architectural and electrical projects
  • Experience in electrical lighting controls and reflected ceiling plans
  • Knowledge of lighting fixtures and controls for takeoffs
  • Strong attention to detail, with excellent spoken and written English
  • Prior costing/estimating experience is a plus
