Imagine yourself as a skilled maintenance professional, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities. As a Duty Engineer, you will be the go-to expert for all maintenance-related matters, from responding to guest requests to performing routine inspections and repairs.

The role involves a range of exciting tasks, including:

  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests, using your technical expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conducting regular inspections to identify potential problems and perform preventive maintenance on all hotel systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing issues as they arise, from minor fixes to more complex system malfunctions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and work completed.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulations, creating a secure environment for guests and colleagues.
  • Assisting with the installation of new equipment and general facility upgrades.
  • Being ready to jump in and assist with any unexpected maintenance needs, helping to maintain a seamless hotel experience.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
What We Need From You:
  • Some college or advanced vocational training in a relevant field, such as building maintenance or hospitality management.
  • At least two years of experience in general building maintenance, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Proven technical skills in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Professional certification or license in relevant trades may be required.
