Jewelry Production Manager

About the Job

This is a senior-level production position responsible for overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing and production process of fine or fashion jewelry.

We are seeking an experienced professional with strong knowledge of jewelry materials, processes, and supply chain management.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing production schedules, allocating workloads, and tracking progress across internal teams and external manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee daily production operations, ensuring quality control and timely order fulfillment.
  • Schedule Management: Manage production schedules, allocate workloads, and track progress across internal teams and external manufacturers.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with designers, CAD teams, bench jewelers, casters, and stone setters to bring designs to life.
  • Material Sourcing: Source and manage relationships with material suppliers and subcontractors (casting, polishing, plating, etc.).
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed production documentation including BOMs (Bill of Materials), cost sheets, and timelines.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control standards across all stages of production.
  • Inventory Forecasting: Forecast inventory needs and ensure all necessary materials (metals, stones, findings) are procured on time.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot production issues, minimize delays, and optimize efficiency and cost.
Requirements
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in jewelry production or manufacturing management.
  • Strong knowledge of jewelry materials, processes (casting, stone setting, polishing), and supply chain.
  • Familiar with CAD/CAM and jewelry design software.
  • Strong vendor and supplier management experience.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for craftsmanship and quality.
  • Experience communicating with the factory.
  • Understanding how to read a CAD.
  • Knowledge in Diamonds.
