Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to play a key role in our finance department. As a vital team member, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate payment allocation and receipt verification across various banks and internal platforms.

This position will focus on centralizing AR functions and integrating high-volume acquisitions into a shared services center, with support for Shared Services and ongoing cash reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities
  • Post daily cash from various banks and financial institutions.
  • Process daily postings from multiple lock boxes.
  • Perform month-to-month or week-to-week cash to accounting reconciliations.
  • Design a complete reconciliation process around the lock box process.
  • Report on cash receipts and volume.
  • Update and maintain customer remittance information when reviewing remittance details.
  • Investigate and resolve inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, billing department colleagues, and account managers.
  • Set regular reporting cadences for direct supervisors.
  • Coordinate with account managers and senior management to resolve customer complaints or payment issues.
  • Support the Finance Department with other tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, including collections and contract management.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems like Microsoft Dynamics GP, QuickBooks, and ConnectWise.
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Advanced Excel skills.
  • Detail-oriented, goal-driven, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communicator with problem-solving abilities; committed to high-quality customer service; collaborative team player.
