We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to support our special coverage team in creating impactful live journalism events, podcasts, and other digital content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit strong editorial judgment: Collaborate with the Senior Editor for Special Coverage to shape how we show up to and cover key moments in global development.
  • Conduct research: Explore issues that matter to our community, help develop ideas for interviews or panels, and identify innovators and thought leaders to feature in our events and podcasts.
  • Manage speaker correspondence: Handle communications with speakers to confirm details, schedule calls, collect and share assets, prepare event and podcast materials briefs, and join briefing calls.
  • Provide strategic support: Support senior editors with seeking and managing speaking opportunities, coordinating logistics and scheduling, and developing presentations.

  • Strong editorial judgment and a keen sense of what matters to global development audiences, with experience editing and curating content that resonates.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders and instilling confidence in high-profile speakers.
  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in journalism, editorial content creation, and/or event management.
  • Top-notch writing and editing skills, clear and concise.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, juggling multiple priorities and ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
