We are seeking a Medical Reviewer to join our team.

Job Description:
  • Prepare case files and Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) assigned in the client portal by accessing, navigating, and preparing different apps on the medical provider's computer prior to scheduled appointments.
  • Review and bookmark medical records, create a synopsis, and answer medical opinion questions based on the veteran's medical history.
  • Remotely assist medical providers during scheduled appointments of veterans by interviewing them via approved video or telephone conference platforms, transcribing medical history, and documenting physical examination findings in DBQs.
  • Complete all sections of DBQ spreadsheets after each appointment, transfer data from DBQ spreadsheets to the client portal, and submit DBQs for review.

Responsibilities may include meeting with medical providers to discuss assigned cases, coordinating with teams regarding scheduled appointments, and performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:
  • A BSN degree and active PHRN license are required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are essential.
  • Familiarity with MS applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary. Proficiency in these tools will aid in daily tasks and responsibilities.

Besides possessing strong technical skills, applicants should be flexible in their work schedule, willing to take accountability for assigned cases, and able to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 20mbps download and upload speed for fiber connection, along with a backup internet connection of at least 15mbps download and upload speed.
  • Main desktop/laptop must meet specifications: i5 to i7 w/ 8GB RAM, 4th generation and above.
  • Backup desktop/laptop must also meet specifications: i3 to i5 w/ 8GB RAM, 4th generation and above.
