Oracle Database Administrator Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with experience in designing and implementing systems that meet requirements for functionality, scalability, performance, and reliability.

  • Design, implement, and manage systems that meet requirements for functionality, scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for critical production issues and drive escalation/resolution with Support and Engineering teams.
  • Adopt, customize, and implement industry-standard practices in Handling Databases in Cloud Infrastructure; create and maintain automated scripts to build, configure, deploy, and test applications databases across environments; maintain and improve CI environments.
  • Work hands-on with database systems, install and configure them, and verify they meet customer technical and business requirements.
  • Support and interact with clients to manage production environments and ensure availability of the database infrastructure; triage and analyze performance and connectivity issues.
  • Create and document processes and standards.
  • Participate in DR tests to maintain readiness for business continuity.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and weekend work activities.
What We Expect
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in a SaaS environment for managed infrastructure or cloud-based solutions.
  • Good knowledge of public cloud architecture (OCI, AWS).
  • Experience with Oracle RAC 19c and multi-tenant database environments; strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with RMAN backup and restore and handling Oracle tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a drive for improvement.
  • Knowledge of DBA tasks including schema management, tablespace management, jobs management, and PDB management.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Unix Shell is advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Red Hat Linux, and Windows Server.
  • Basic understanding of Exadata Management and support is a plus.
  • Must be willing to do on-call support.
