Purchasing Specialist

Cruise line is currently seeking a skilled Technical Purchasing professional to join their operations team.
This position requires the ability to execute procurement of materials and services needed for vessel operations, maximizing guest experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Issuing and revising purchase orders based on approved service and material requisitions;
- Sourcing items by researching supply options;
- Coordinating logistics for material or parts delivery;
- Providing follow-up and expediting as needed to ensure timely arrival of supplies;
- Maintaining proper documentation in the purchase orders file;
- Developing and maintaining regular progress reports on initiatives;
- Following established guidelines and procedures in technical purchasing.
Requirements include:
- Associate's Degree in Technical education or background in technical trading field;
- 1 year of technical purchasing experience preferred; Business or technical purchasing experience relevant;
Essential skills and abilities include:
- Effective communication and customer-oriented attitude;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
- Good knowledge of the English language;
