Job Title

Project Development Manager for Thermal and Solar Energy Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Development Manager to lead the development of thermal and solar energy projects from concept to financial close. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project development, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Identification and Feasibility: Identify, assess, and evaluate potential thermal and solar project sites, conduct feasibility studies, and prepare and manage project development budgets and timelines.
  2. Stakeholder and Regulatory Engagement: Lead permitting and licensing processes with government agencies, engage with landowners and communities to secure land rights and social acceptability, and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
  3. Project Structuring and Commercial Development: Support financial modeling and project structuring, negotiate and manage project agreements, and work closely with internal teams to secure investment approvals.
  4. Project Management and Coordination: Develop and monitor project schedules, coordinate cross-functional teams, provide regular project updates and reports, and monitor energy policies and market trends.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, Business, or related field; Master's degree is an advantage.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in project development within the power/energy sector (thermal, solar, or other renewables).
  • Strong knowledge of power project permitting, regulatory frameworks, and energy markets.
  • Proven track record in managing project development from concept to financial close.
  • Experience in land acquisition, permitting, stakeholder management, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong financial acumen and familiarity with project finance models.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
