Financial Planning and Analysis Manager Position Overview

This strategic leadership role is ideal for a highly skilled finance professional with expertise in financial planning, analysis, and management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all aspects of financial planning and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective financial processes and controls.

Accounting and Financial Management

  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and analyze journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Optimize financial systems and reporting hierarchies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Operational Finance Support

  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and treasury planning.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial models to support business decisions.

Reporting and Audit Support

  • Develop and maintain internal reporting packages for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Provide financial data and analysis to support external audits or tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of finance/accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in financial planning and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial operations.
  • 2+ years of experience using financial software and tools.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and comfort building financial models.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or equivalent accounting certification.
  • Experience with budgeting tools and processes.
  • Prior work in a consulting or SaaS environment.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools.
