Job Title: Remote Accounting ProfessionalAbout the Role:

The ideal candidate will work as a full-time remote employee for a growing business in the United States. This is an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and demonstrate expertise in accounting.

This role requires close adherence to company processes and procedures. Daily tasks may vary, so flexibility is essential.

Necessary characteristics include attention to detail, ability to work well with team members, and a desire to continually develop skills.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial reporting for multiple properties
  • Maintenance of balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and other supporting schedules
  • Collaboration with outside CPA firms and auditors
  • Support for onsite property management staff
  • Review of general ledger and recording of monthly journal entries
  • Review of income statements and variance analysis
  • Identification of process improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Timely and efficient processing of assigned tasks
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; CPA preferred or someone on that path
  • 2-4 years related experience
  • Experience with multiple entity ownership structures
  • Multifamily experience preferred, but commercial experience will be considered
  • Experience with partnership accounting
  • GAAP experience necessary
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service focus and attention to detail
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager online system preferred
  • Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization
