The role of an Audit Senior is a pivotal position in any audit firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To prepare clear, accurate, and professional financial statements and audit reports that are of high quality and meet the required standards.
  • To plan each audit thoroughly to ensure that the team is set up for success and that all necessary steps are taken to complete the audit efficiently.
  • To brief team members on key risks so everyone is confident going into the audit.
  • To build strong working relationships with clients by meeting with them to review their information and provide guidance where needed.
  • To draft books and record lists to keep everything organized and ensure that all necessary documents are readily available.
  • To update and roll forward planning sections of the audit file to keep audits running smoothly and efficiently.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree and CPA qualification are essential for this role.
  • The ideal candidate will have 4+ years' external statutory audit experience and be trained at a Top 10 audit firm.
  • Experience developing audit strategies and terms of engagement is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS, Irish GAAP, UK GAAP (including FRS 102), and current technical updates is also essential.
  • Audit exposure across multiple industries, preferably outside banking/financial services, is highly valued.
