Reliability Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve existing processes to ensure high availability and prevent downtime.
  • Identify system bottlenecks and implement best practices to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Create automation scripts and develop monitoring systems to proactively address issues.
  • Develop and manage infrastructure as code tools like AWS CDK.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps, or similar role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL, including experience with database design, performance tuning, and advanced querying techniques.
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or SigNoz.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python or Typescript.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Above and Beyond:

  • Experience working in a startup environment and excited to tackle new challenges.
  • Knowledge or experience with low-code tools or robotic process automation.
