Video Editor Job Description

The Video Editor is responsible for creating high-quality video content that engages and inspires audiences. This role involves researching trends, collaborating with creatives, strategists, and marketers, and delivering exceptional work under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching trends in digital and social content to stay up-to-date on the latest post-production techniques
  • Contributing creative direction on briefs and bringing deep video expertise to every project
  • Owns post-production pipeline from ingest to final delivery, collaborating with team members along the way
  • Produces short-form videos that stand out, crafting compelling stories from raw footage with precision and speed
  • Edits and delivers high-quality content optimized for various digital channels
  • Continuously raises the creative bar through innovative visual storytelling and editing techniques

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience creating high-quality content, preferably with on-set experience
  • Good understanding of Digital Marketing, multimedia assets, and exporting for multiple channels
  • Proven ability to create high-impact short-form video content with a strong showreel showcasing storytelling and editing skills
  • Deep proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Creative Cloud tools (After Effects a plus)
  • Excellent understanding of content specs, exports, and best practices across digital and social platforms
  • Strong grasp of narrative structure, pacing, and emotional storytelling
  • Highly organized with excellent file management and version control habits
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, adapt quickly to feedback, and deliver exceptional work under tight deadlines
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and passion for improving both process and creative output
