Job SummaryKey Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance to support decision-making.
Compliance and Audit Support
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
  • Assist in preparing for audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
Operational Efficiency
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support the overall goals of the finance department and the company.
Bookkeeping
  • Recording of company transactions.
  • Oversee weekly transaction cycles.
Month-End Close Procedures
  • Help in performing month-end closing procedures in accordance with the month-end close checklist.
  • Maintain monthly schedules, disposition discrepancies, and/or balances and record necessary adjusting entries.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field, with a demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a startup or fast-paced environment within the payments, fintech, or financial services sectors.
  • Familiarity with or a willingness to learn accounting software such as Oracle NetSuite, or similar software like SAP, QuickBooks, or Xero, along with knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in academic or extracurricular organizations is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
