Job Description

We are seeking a mental health professional to join our team as a Helpline Responder. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals in need of mental health assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide helpline response and ensure hotlines and helplines are properly staffed.
  • Maintain high standards of effectiveness with callers and utilize best practices for all scenarios.
  • Engage internally with stakeholders and communicate effectively through various channels.
  • Keep organized by utilizing systems to track and communicate with clients and their information.
  • Ensure patients receive appropriate follow-up care by conducting regular triage and check-ins.
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team and fellow coaches to address clients' needs effectively.
  • Have an empathetic and proactive approach to helping clients in need.
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • At least 2-4 years experience working as a helpline responder.
  • Completed training in SFBT or its equivalent.
  • Certified in Psychological First Aid and Suicide Prevention.
  • Masters in Psychology preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Be reliable and professional at all times.
  • Be open to feedback and always willing to improve and develop.
